Barr. George Ogara has reacted to the news making the social media that his supporters and that of Okey Ogbodo have thrown their weight on the candidacy of Senator Ayogu Eze.

The blog post which Ogara has described as false and cheap propaganda reads in part, “Supporters of Okey Ogbodo, factional Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Enugu State and those of Barr. Tabugbo Ogara , a contender in the APC governorship primaries, from Enugu North Senatorial District have declared their total support for the authentic APC governorship candidate in the state, Senator Ayogu Eze.
The move has led to a complete collapse of all the factions in the party in Enugu North Senatorial district where the APC governorship candidate, Sen. Ayogu Eze hails from.
The leader of the party in the zone and the state, APC Youth leader, Prince Ikechukwu Oloto who led the leaders of all the factions to the home of the APC governorship candidate over the weekend pledged their loyalty to the supremacy of the party and the candidacy of their son, Sen. Ayogu Eze”

But Ogara in a swift reaction said, “Okey Ogbodo is a man of integrity as I am also. The people who support us, the people who gave me the mandate to rescue Enugu State are people of integrity. They can not throw away their support to Ayogu Eze. A man under EFCC investigation for alleged misappropriation of constituency fund, a tool in the hand of PDP, how can we?

“The politics Ayogu Eze and his camp play is a ‘catch and kill politics’. They will deceive you into joining them, but they will kill you by extorting all the money in your pockets. There are several reports of candidates names being substituted with the names of highest aspirant bidders during the last concluded primaries. But we should be in democracy and not in ‘bidderocracy’.

“Contrary to the report, we have been welcoming people from his camp who are fed up of the ‘kill and dry’ politics. 

“The report that our supporters have place allegiance to Ayogu Eze is false and a cheap propaganda aimed at spreading false information and drawing unnecessary attention. I can never align myself to a person of questionable characters and our supporters will not either”.

Ogara who enjoys the firm support of the Okey Ogbodo faction of APC in Enugu State, is challenging the Ayogu Eze’s candidacy in court.
