Chief Amb. (Mrs.) Ginika Tor Williams, Adadioramma, Agunwanyi 1 of Amoli Kingdom, is a media entrepreneur, philanthropist par Excellence, astute business woman, a board room technocrat, a brand management expert, a lovely wife and a caring mother. She was born in June 16th 1974 to the family of Late Mazi and Lolo Uwaezuoke Williams Ijeomah in Amoli, Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State. She is third child amongst Seven siblings. Ginika’s growing up years were mainly in Lagos state where she had both her primary and secondary school education before proceeding to Owelli Girls in Enugu State to complete her A- levels.
Ginika was born into a low-income, humble and average home but was blessed with caring parents who wanted their children to attain western education. However, due to financial constraints she was unable to further her education until she got married. Few years into her marriage she was admitted into University of Jos where she studied law.
As a child, Ginika desired to be a TV personality where she could impact lives and through the instrumentality of TV programming tell her story and connect with people who came through to limelight by hardwork, commitment to cherished ideals and God’s favour.
After her A-levels Ginika once starred in the now rested program Crossroads on Muri International Television in Lagos but could not continue due to challenges of marriage occasioned by relocation out of Lagos. In spite of this setback she never allowed her dream to fizzle out but continued to explore her potentials in the Media world through her flagship publication – Exclusive Accolade International Magazine (EAIM) which is now at the 16th edition.
Barely three years after starting EAIM, she recently boldly unveiled her Accolade Lifestyle TV programme at an impressive 2nd yellow ball at Sheraton Hotels Abuja to showcase the lifestyles of men and women of accomplishments who are successful in what they do in spite of the constraints and challenges of their birth and gender. Today, no doubt Ginika Tor is indeed a TV personality and a media entrepreneur employing many Nigerians. It is a story of grass to grace and it is the singular circumstances of her birth and growing up that continue to challenge this astute innovator and trail blazer who is clearly destined for the top with God on her side.
Ginika’s vision is to build a world class media empire with the support of God Almighty, men and women of conscience who want to encourage entrepreneurship and hardwork. This dynamic young woman has contributed significantly to the betterment of society through her purpose-driven initiatives and sits on the Boards of many companies such as Accolade Media Company Ltd, Primefield Associates Nig Limited, Ginetz Business Ventures Ltd to mention just a few.
It is in recognition of her contributions to the development of society that she has been recognized by different bodies/organizations at different times which include: UPWF heart of gold 2009, Jubilee publisher of the year 2010, Jove female publisher of the year 2010, UPWF Media Company of the year 2011 etc.
Ginika is the running mate to APC governorship candidate in Enugu State, Barr. George Ogara Tabugbo. She was initially contesting to represent Agwu, Aniri, Oji River Federal constituency in the House of Representatives before she was nominated by Ogara as his running mate.
