Introduction:
Man’s placement in life is the product of the secrets made available to him. The level of height you are able to attain is determined by the amount of secrets you are able to unravel. To everything there is a secret behind it. There is a secret of blessing. There is a secret behind any prosperity, long life, wealth or good health. The kingdom of God is full of mysteries or secrets that are always revealed to God’s children.
The secret of ever flowing blessing is revealed in Haggai 1:1-11.
Haggai 1:1-12:
“In the second year of King Darius, in the sixth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, saying, “Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, saying: ‘This people says, “The time has not come, the time that the Lord’s house should be built.” ’ ” Then the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying, “Is it time for you yourselves to dwell in your paneled houses, and this temple to lie in ruins?” Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways! Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the Lord. “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the Lord of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house. Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit. For I called for a drought on the land and the mountains, on the grain and the new wine and the oil, on whatever the ground brings forth, on men and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.” (NKJV)
According the above Scriptures, the secret of ever flowing blessing is in building the house of God. The house of God you have no regard for, has no regard for you. The secret of ever flowing blessing is kingdom service. If you don’t participate in building the kingdom of God, He will send drought in your life. Drought represents dryness. Instead of having fruitful businesses or jobs, you would be having dryness in your business, but that is not your portion in Jesus name. If you build the house of God, He would also build you. But if you leave the house of God in ruins, your life would be left in ruins by God.
God is always looking for people that will serve him. God killed the first sons of Egyptians because of His service. God commanded the Egyptians to let His people go just for them to serve Him. Exodus 10:3. God is ready to kill a whole nation just for His children to serve Him. Kingdom service is a serious matter before God. When you don’t serve God you automatically becomes His enemy, and of course, nature will start working against you.
Kingdom Service is the secret of ever flowing abundance, divine favour and prosperity. Your mere coming to church is not serving the lord, rather it is the Lord that is serving you. But there are some whose basic reason of coming to church is to serve – to serve God, His people and anything that concerns Him. There are several service units in the church that one could serve in. Not just to come to church to sit and leave after church service. That is not really serving the Lord.
Kingdom Service is God’s wisdom for our desired change of story. God can never despise those who serve Him. Serving God is a serious business which God doesn’t take lightly.
Areas of Kingdom Service:
Kingdom service is divided into three major areas. These are the areas a believer could serve the Lord in. We shall take a deeper look at the third area in this session.
- Physical Service
This involves the physical engagement in service in the church, such as in ushering unit, technical unit, etc - Financial Service
This involves investing your money in the kingdom advancement.
Zechariah 1:17 - Spiritual Service
This is the most rewarding area. 1 Timothy 4:8
There are several aspects of this spiritual service. Soul winning is one of the spiritual service. Soul winning is the business of everyone. Soul winning is the secret of ever flowing blessing.
A servants of God is someone that cares for the welfare of his people. Not necessarily a prophet, a pastor or a bishops. Job was called a servant of God not because he was a pastor or a bishop but because of his service. Job 1:8.
Soul winning is the most profitable business in the world. It is the most lucrative business. It is not all about carrying bible and moving out to preach but actually bringing people back to God and making them abide in the house of God. John 15:16
Why Must I Go For Soul Winning?
- It is a commandment.
God commanded us to win souls. The greatest desire of a child of God is to serve God. Mark 16:15 - It is the original purpose of our redemption
The reason why God redeemed us is to win souls to Him John 15:16 - It proves our love for God.
Those who love God will go out for soul winning. For you to say that you love God without soul winning, then that love is fake. If you love God you should keep his commandments. John 14:21-23 - To escape murder charge
Let people around you know you are serving God. What do people say about you. That your neighbour that doesn’t know God, preach to him so that he may repent. If the neighbour dies without repentance, his blood will be upon you if you didn’t preach to him.
Ezekiel 3:18-19:
“When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die, ’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.”
- It attract power and anointing
That means when you begin to win souls you will be a carrier of God’s power and anointing.
Acts 1:8, Acts 10:38
Benefits of Soul Wining:
- You will enjoy God’s presence.
When you go out for soul wining God will be with you.
Matthews 28:19-20 - You will become a star in your field of endeavour.
You will become an expert in your field. Your light will keep shinning and people will be coming for your light.
Daniel 12:3 - You will enjoy instant answers to your prayers.
John 15:16 - You will enjoy divine health and all around favour.
Exodus 23:25-26 - You will enjoy unusual dimension of favour.
Favour comes everywhere when you win souls.
Job 33:11, Isaiah 1:19 - You will become a commander of signs and wonders
Mak 16:20 - You will be highly protected from the devices of Satan
Luke 10:19 - It breaks generational curses
