In life there are battles. That is why we have a day dedicated for battle in Comforters House Intl. Because we know that battle of life is a continuous process, we prepare ourselves ahead of time. For many, it is when challenges of life hook them that they pray. But that is not the best time to prepare. You don’t prepare while you are already in a battle but prepare best before the battle.
Since we have known that there will be an evil day, it is wiser for us to prepare ourselves before the evil day. We ought to be ready to engage in this battle. We can’t run away from it and we don’t defeat it by shinning away. We have to stand strong having put on the whole armor of God.
Ephesians 6:12-18
If we don’t confront the battle that faces us, the battle would destroy us.
If we refuse to confront our confrontation, it might overcome us.
If we just hide inside the shell, the confrontation will be waiting for us outside when we would bring out our heads from the shell.
However God has ordained us to win in all these battles.
Romans 8:37, Jeremiah 1:19.
The battles of life could be death, near success syndrome, frustration, stagnation, etc. Whichever one it is, we ought to stand firm against it.
I would like to talk about four kinds of battle of life:
- Impending battle
Impending means that the battle is looming. It is a looming battle of life. It could be future loss of job, accident, death, miscarriage. They are impending, it is in waiting to strike.
Jeremiah 1:17 & 19. - Organized battle
It the battle organized and projected by the enemies. Your enemies would organise themselves against you. It could be projected by your family members. It could be in the form of poison or a false information against you or conspiracy. Psalms 3:1-4, Zechariah 1:18-21.
But God disorganises them for your sake. Isaiah 54:15 - Environmental Battle
In the environment where you are staying many people might be wedging war against you. There are places you would be living and you would not be able to make any meaningful progress. This is because of some sorts of incarnations or diabolic things (spiritual wickedness) already made before or during your harbour in that environment.
People around you would be envying you and plotting evil against you for no reason. This falls into environmental battles.
Genesis 26:17-22 - Secret Battle
This is when someone pretends to be your brother or friend but fights you in the secret. They are your friends in the day but dangerous enemies at night.
Ezekiel 11:1-2
Declaration: Any impending battle, organized battle, environmental battle or any secret battle confronting your life, I command that battle to be overcome in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
