
_calls for calm as hoodlums invade project site.

The youths of Eburummiri, Ibagwa-Aka community in Igbo-Eze south local government area of Enugu state have decried the continued attacks on some good spirited individuals in the council.
The group described as inhuman the recent torture unleashed on them in their efforts to repair a spoilt borehole in the area.
According to report, the youths of the area were said to have raised millions of naira to fix the abandoned spoilt bore hole in their community, but faced challenges on the site when work was about to start.
Speaking on behalf of the youths, the president, Mr Japhet Eze explained that workers were on the site of the bore hole to commence work when two buses well loaded with armed hoodlums from unknown place stormed the venue and started beating up everybody in the site, including him.
Mr Eze pointed out that many of them were after the torture arrested and detained in Ibagwa-Aka police station.
Similarly, another victim of the attack who did not want his name mentioned alleged that they sustained various degrees of injuries while their motorcycles, phones and other valuables were yet to be recovered.
He lamented over the scarcity of water in the community over the years which made them to raise money to alleviate the sufferings of their people, and called on the state government to investigate those behind the attacks, alleging that some people in the area who do not want development, were behind the attacks.
He explained that the bore hole which was constructed and sited in the area eight years ago by a Federal lawmaker in the council, Dr Patrick Asadu has not been working for four years, which constituted the actions of the youths to fix it.
