The regulation of human activities through the law makes it hard for people not to have their way at all time. It makes people to think before matching it with actions.

The journey to 2023 election has put a lot of people on their toes especially politicians who are on appointment jobs. At the federal level, a good number of the federal executive council members have brewed up the ideas to run for elective offices especially the topmost, the office of the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. This had created rancour amongst Nigerians as these persons made this declaration without following due process which is first resigning their appointments as demanded or required by the law.
Following the resignation of the minister of states for education, the president gave 16th may 2022 deadline for anyone declaring for elective position to resign.

This was followed with a farewell ceremony organized for them with the president in attendance and prior to the deadline.
The minister of labour, Dr Chris Ngige has come out to say he is no longer running for the office of the president and same is said about the minister of women affairs and a few others. Some of these people changed their minds before the deadline given by the president, and it is unsure if they can be reintegrated into the fold of the federal executive council.
