All is set to receive Distinguished Senator Chukwuka Utazi into the folds of the Enugu State All Progressive Party (APC).
Senator Utazi was the immediate past senator that represented Enugu North senatorial zone under the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) and headed various sensitive committees in the Senate such as the committee on National Security and Intelligence, committee on Primary Health and many more through which he attracted and initiated a lot of programs and empowerment to the good people of Enugu North, Enugu state and Nigeria at large.
The Grand reception of Senator Utazi into Enugu APC today happens to be a unique one considering the protocols he observed from top to bottom.
The senator first approached the presidency, later met the National leadership of party after which he visited the party’s leader in the southeast, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Senator Utazi didn’t stop at that but headed down to his ward to register and will today be received by the zonal leadership of the party ably led by Barr. George Ogara, the Deputy Governorship Candidate of APC in Enugu State 2023 after which the Enugu State leader Chief Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology and the State Chairman Barr. Ugochukwu Agballah will officially unveil him on Saturday 30th March 2024 at the State Secretariat of the party in Enugu.
This event is particularly significant as Sen. Utazi is a household name politician in Enugu north zone, Enugu State and Nigeria at large. Joining APC with his crowd of followers and track records is a big plus to the party and create formidable opposition in the state.
Recall that Sen. Utazi submitted his resignation letter to the PDP Chairman in Nkpologu Ward of the Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of the state, Chief Robert Ezeagu, stating that those ideals that attracted him to the party had since receded into oblivion leaving him with no option but to leave and find another party that will afford him ample opportunity to operate maximally and contribute to national development.
