The Senator representing Kofi West in the Senate, Senator Dino Melaye has left his Maitama home to meet with the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, at the Force headquarters, Abuja.

Dino had been hiding in his residence for eight days to avoid arrest by the police for alleged culpable homicide.

Reports have it that some senators who visited the lawmaker at his residence on Friday went with him to see the IGP.

Recall that police had stormed the Senator’s house last week Friday in an attempt to arrest him for interrogation over the alleged shooting of one Sergeant Aliyu.

The police sergeant, who is said to be lying critically ill at the Federal Medical Centre, Lokoja, was said to have been injured by suspected thugs loyal to the Senator in Kogi State last July.

But Melaye had hid himself in his home and refused to surrender to police for arrest rather he would take to his twitter handle to say he would not surrender.
