President Muhammadu Buhari has handed over his re-election campaign to the National Leader of All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Buhari made this known on Monday while inaugurating the campaign council at the International Conference Centre (ICC) Abuja. He said the reason was that he didn’t want governance to suffer because of elections.
Tinubu, will henceforth lead the party’s campaigns for the February general elections as against President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the Chairman of the APC Campaign Council.
Tinubu and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo are Co-Chairmen of the Council and were initially meant to deputise the President.
