The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2019, Atiku Abubakar, has met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The meeting which lasted for over an hour, took place on Thursday behind closed doors. Although details of the meeting was not made public, it might not be unconnected with the determination of the PDP and its flag bearer to take President Muhamadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) to court over the outcome of the presidential election.

The media aide to the former president, Kehinde Akinyemi, confirmed Atiku’s visit to his principal.

He described the visit as private, adding that no one had knowledge about the discussion between the two leaders.
