By Apostle Gospel Chukwuma Nnate.

Mountain top experience simply means to arise or attain a position of influence, position fame, power or level where you have never been. It is doing the impossible and achieving the unthinkable. God has made us to achieve incredible success in all we do.
What is success? Success is a satisfactory realisation of a worth while goal. It is becoming a plus on daily basis.
When I was in my closet praying, the Lord spoke to me saying: “teach them to obey me because I am ready to bless them.” God values righteousness, that is obedience to His word. From that statement, it means that in order to be at the top of God’s blessing, you need to know the ladders to be used for climbing to the top.
The Lord wants us to occupy the top position – mountain top. He wants us to be blessed like He blessed Abraham and made him a blessing to others.
3 John 2: “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
You are not meant to be at the beneath. You are meant to be at the top. There are places you might be that you don’t belong. You are supposed to be a blessing to others. You are supposed to be a giver. Many people are in a wrong places. Don’t go where God didn’t send you. God has programmed you to be at the top.
Deuteronomy 28:1-13.
Having been made righteous by Jesus Christ, you are not meant to lack any good thing. You are to live in the favour of God. It is not the intention of God to cause you harm. God’s plan for man is prosperity and peace.
Job 34:10: “Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to commit iniquity.”
What Are These Ladders To The Top?
1. Kingdom Service:
Kingdom service is the use of divine endowments such as strength, time, resources, talents, skills etc in promoting the kingdom of God. Kingdom service is the most profitable venture on earth. Luke 2:49
Your service in God’s kingdom determines how God would service your needs. In all you seek, seek God’s kingdom first that you might find that which you seek for. Matthew 6:31-33, Job 36:11.
When you mind God’s business, God would be mindful of you. Psalm 8:4.
You can not enjoy mountain top experience without being a faithful servant.
If you serve the Lord you would enjoy pleasures without pressure, but if you don’t serve Him, you would be forced to serve your enemies with agony. Deuteronomy 28:47-48
And if you must serve God, you must serve Him with cheerfulness. It must be done with a cheerful and loyal heart.
2. Prompt Obedience:
There is a popular saying that knowledge is power. However I want to make it clear that knowledge is only but a potential power. Knowledge is not power until there is a corresponding action. Knowledge acted upon has the power to produce power.
Anyone who knows how to do good but does not do it is guilty of the sin. James 4:17.
Information plus action is what is called obedience.
But information minus action is total disobedience.
Obedience is practical adherence to God’s instructions. You hear and do what you have heard, that is wisdom.
Anytime your faith lacks action, you are in total disobedience.
Obedience is following duly and applying what the words said without thinking about your circumstances.
Obedience is the easiest and shortest access to your breakthrough. You want to breakthrough just give a room for obedience.
Anytime you obey God, you put God on the frequency of blessing you. God does not give the bread meant for His obedient children to dogs that are not obedient. Mark 7:27.
Isaiah 1:19: “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Prayer and fasting are not substitutes to obedience. No matter how you pray and fast, you can’t breakthrough without obedience. There must be obedience factor.
Fasting and prayer minus obedience is frustration.
What are we supposed to obey?
1.a. We must obey God’s instruction of soul winning
We are told to go to the whole world to preach and bring souls to God’s kingdom. Soul winning is the business of God. It matters much to God. It is God’s business handed over to Jesus and Jesus handed the business over to us. So we ought to continue. Luke 2:49.
I saw a car in a supermarket, I liked the car. When I got home I prayed to God to bless me with the car. But the Lord told me to win 9 souls to have the car. I obeyed and I won 21 souls, however only 14 of them abided in the Church. And after two weeks the Lord blessed me with same car same model. That is a total obedience to the word of God.
When what matters to God matters to you, you are set to enjoy mountain top experience.
b. We must obey God’s instruction on tithing.
Obedience to tithing is a ladder to the top. Malachi 3:10
You don’t deceive God with your tithe. God knows how much you earn. Everything belongs to Him. Make up your mind to pay your tithe accurately.
When He sees your obedience in action, He moves speedily to save you. It was the service of Hezekiah in the house of God that saved him. Isaiah 38:1-6.
When you notice that things are not going well with you, increase your offering. Anytime you increase your offering God will reduce your suffering. Every genuine tither is a candidate of mountain top experience. When the cloud is full of rain, it empties itself. So the Lord will surely remember your tithe.
c. We must always seek for God’s kingdom first:
Anytime anything comes to your hand, the first thing to think of should be God’s kingdom. Seek you first his kingdom and every other things shall be handed over to you, including mountain top experience. Those who consistently seek God’s kingdom do not lack any good thing. Matthew 6:33.
Thing To Note About Prompt Obedience:
1. It must be done immediately
Delayed obedience is absolute disobedience. You must obey the word of God immediately after instruction. You don’t have to delay a second before obeying the commandments of God. Delaying to carry out the instruction is itself a disobedience. Psalms 119:60
2. It must be done cheerfully
If you must obey God, you must do so cheerfully. You don’t have to complain first before obeying Him. Obedience should be done with all your heart. Romans 12:8
3. It must be done consistently
You must obey God continually. You should not decide to obey God today and disobey Him tomorrow. You must have to obey even unto death if your obedience must be accounted for you.
Galatians 6:9, Psalms 119:44
Factors that triggers obedience:
1. Love for God
It is the love of God that triggers one to obey Him. If you don’t love God you can’t obey Him. Anytime you find it difficult to obey God’s commandments, it means you don’t love God. Anytime your service to the Lord only ends with your lips, then you don’t love Him. You ought to love God and your neighbour. When you can not love or give to human beings that you are seeing, how can you love God that you are not seeing?
John 14:15
2. Trust in God
Trust is absolute confidence in God. If you don’t trust the word of God and His promises, there is no way you would obey His word. You have to first trust that He is faithful, just and capable to do all that He has promised. Hebrews 11:6, Numbers 23:19
3. Total submission to God
You must submit to God totally.
You must be dead to self and life to God. If you hate your life in this world for the sake of Christ, you will keep it for His kingdom service and your eternal life. When you have submitted yourself totally to God, to obey Him wouldn’t be hard again.
John 12:24-25. Galatians 2:20
Benefits of prompt obedience
1. It is the ladder to higher height of life
Deuteronomy 28:1-13
2. It guarantees unlimited prosperity
Job 33:11
3. It is the master key to all round blessing.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2,
4. It makes you have good success
Joshua 1:8
5. It helps deliver good things to life
Isaiah 5:19
Obstacles to Mountain Top Experience
Man was created to be at the top only and not beneath. The original intention of God for man is for him to be on top. Deuteronomy 28:1-2,13
God has programmed you to be in good health and not to be sick. 3 John 2.
It is worthy to note that success and poverty is a choice. God has set before you prosperity and poverty. But He expects us to make the right choice of prosperity. Deuteronomy 30:19.
God expects us to succeed.
Also note that you can not shine by doing ordinary things. If you want to shine, change to new plans and ideas. The world needs something new. When you get to the market you don’t go about looking for the same design that you bought previous years, rather you would go after new designs. You need a new thing. So it is a matter of choice if you want to shine or not; whether to change to creative ideas or to waste in mediocre.
God wants you to prosper. But you have to be willing to prosper.
2 Corinthians 8:12. God will not interfere with your choice. It is given to you freely and you have the prerogatives to use it either ways.
What Are The Obstacles To Mountain Top Experience?
1. Fear of the unknown.
People are afraid to take risk. You visualize an idea but you are afraid to take risk. You mind opposition. When you begin to mind opposition you would loose your position. But a wise man said that it is risky not to take risk.
God has placed something on your mind of how to make money but you are afraid to take risk. If I didn’t take risk maybe this commission, wouldn’t have started.
Even if you are seeing evil face to face but God said you should take a step, don’t be afraid to take the step. God showed me Demons in this place, before we started the ministry, but He said I should go ahead. Even the prophet I brought during commissioning, who also saw the Demons, advised me to back out. The prophet gave me two reasons why I shouldn’t use this venue but I gave him eleven reasons why I shouldn’t fear.
God has not given us the spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7
Those who have the mind of Christ do not fear.
People don’t succeed in life because of fear. You are even afraid of what your neighbours would talk or think about your little beginning of that business idea God gave to you. In this church we started with only five members but we are more than that now. Don’t be afraid, take that step that would lead you to the mountain top. Some are afraid of tomorrow. But if your God knows tomorrow, why then afraid?
2. Low Self Esteem/Inferiority Complex
Don’t look down on yourself, if you want to succeed. Don’t feel inferior that you did not go to school. Going to school is good but it is not the certificate for your progress. The certificate only shows that one went to school, it does not certify that one would succeed in life. Nobody is like you. Somebody can resemble somebody but nobody is like anybody. You are unique. There is something that you have than no one else has. 1 Peter 2:9
You are the best, don’t look down on yourself. Don’t let anybody bring you down. Don’t have a grasshopper mentality. Stop condemning yourself, be positive.
3. Lack of confidence
Some lack confidence in the word of God. Philippians 4:13
If God’s word says you can do everything, have it in mind that you can do everything. Have confidence in God and His word.
God’s word has potency as God Himself. His word is Himself. John 1:1, Isaiah 60:1
4. Procrastination
Procrastination means delaying to start what you have in mind of doing. Don’t give room to procrastination. It is not only a killer of time but also a killer of destiny.
It makes one to remain poor. Some have dreams but, are still procrastinating about actualizing them. Psalms 119:60
5. Pride.
Drop that pride totally and start that business. Some of my friends who were already into ministry before me, wanted to intimidate me when I was about to start this ministry. They boasted of how they started their ministries with millions of naira, but then I had no money. I only had a public address system. But God asked me to go ahead and miraculously, He provided a Hall for us free of charge.
Some people would even buy an item they have no need of on credit just because of pride, thereby putting themselves into further trouble. Anytime you put on pride, God will be the one resisting you. And if God is the one resisting you, how would you succeed. When He closes your door nobody can open it. James 4:6, Isaiah 22:22, Revelation 3:8.
Pride can even make you to be proud to the person that is supposed to help you. So drop pride, it is a great obstacle to mountain top experience.
