The Pharmacitical Council of Nigeria, PCN has describd parmacy as a life saving profession where every practictioner is expected to hold onto the ethics to avoid misconduct.
The council made this known during the induction and oath taking ceremony of the 7th graduans of Phamarcy technicians department, in the Eucharistic Heart College of Health and Technology, Orba in Udenu Local gvt area of Enugu state.
Administering the oath at the school premises, the Registrar of the council, Pharm Elija Muhammed represented at the ceremony by the Zonal Director, PCN, Pharm I.G Ohaeri congratulated the graduans, pointing out that the profession exposes one to other areas of life such as going into practice or advancing in the profession.
Also speaking, the provost of the college, Dr Livinus Nnadi noted that health management is a team work, and advised the graduans to always discharge their duties professionally but look up to the people above them in time of challenges.
On her part, the college deputy administrator, Rev. Sis Doris Ike thanked the Pharmacistical council of Nigeria for their good relationship with the school, and prayed God to bless them.
Some of the graduans, including the best graduating student, Mathew Ogwuche expressed joy for being part of the successful induction and oath taking ceremony, and enjoined other students in the college to read hard in order to excel in the field.
He urged other individuals who want to study Phamarcy technology to errol into the school and see the difference.
They observed a minute silence for the founder of the college, late Rev Father David Omego.
