The people of Ifuruoka Amalla community in Udenu Local Government area of Enugu state have been advised to maintain peace in the area.

The chairman of Udenu Local Government area, Mr. Solomon Onah gave the advice while speaking on the inauguration ceremony of the new Neighborhood watch chairman in the area.

According to the council chairman, no community progresses while in crises.

Also speaking, the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Highness Igwe Ubaka Eze expressed joy over the exercise, pointing out that the exercise marked the return of peace to the community.

The royal father encouraged the new Neighborhood watch chairman, Mr Sunday Uroko to always discharge his duties without fear or favour.
He urged the people of Ifuruoka to join hands in building the area.
In his acceptance speech, the new Neighborhood watch chairman, Mr Sunday Uroko thanked the people of Ifuruoka Amalla community and the Enugu state government for finding him worthy for the position, and promised to carry everybody along in discharging his duties.

He appealed to the people of Ifuruoka Amalla community to desist from crime in order to avert the wrath of the law, adding that the community needs peace.

The inauguration witnessed the presence of Nigeria police force as well as Udenu neighborhood watch group, heavily led by their Commander, Mr. Onyekachi Ezeme.
