Imo APC Primaries: Okorocha’s Son-in-law Struggles With 8th Position

The result of the Imo State governorship primaries circulating on the social media has it that Governor Rochas Okorocha’s Son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, did not come close to winning the race.

According to the report, Senator Hope Uzodimma was declared the winner of the APC governorship primary election held in Imo State. He polled 423, 895 votes to defeat his closest rival, Prince Eze Madumere, the embattled deputy governor of Imo State. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, the anointed candidate of Governor Rochas Okorocha was roundly beaten as he came 8th position with the total votes of 10, 329.

There is also a report that the Chairman of the electoral committee, Ahmed Ali Gulak is nowhere to be found in the state. His sudden departure may be as a result of the violence experienced during the election and the speculation of further crisis after the election in the state.
